Types of exercise to do for vertigo and dizziness relief

Start at a slow movement as you gradually increase the pace and the choice of movement as your body has to get used to these types of vertigo exercises. For instance, you can just start by moving your head and eyes for a start. Once you are comfortable with this you are in a good position to advance to the full-body exercises.

The following vertigo exercises can be done as a relief only by checking with your doctor first.

Eye movement Exercises

Don’t move your head at all, just move your eyes from side to side, then up and down. Repeat this exercise for a maximum of 20 times. At first this has to be at a slower pace then gradually shift to a faster pace.

Head movement exercises

Try to move your head slowly from one side to the other; this is on top of moving it up and down as well. Do this with your eyes open. This head movement exercise should be repeated for a maximum of 20 times in a session. As your head gets acclimatized to this, start to move it much faster.

Toe Touching Exercises

Just bend over and try to touch your toes, while doing this be aware of the movements of your head. The eyes should be open all along. Allow your head and body to follow your stationary gaze. This toe touching exercise should be done 10 maximum times.

Shoulder shrugs exercises

Keep on shrugging your shoulders for some minutes. Repeat all this exercise for a maximum of 20 times more so in a sitting position.

Sit to stand exercises

Shift from that sitting position and stand up, this should be at a much slower pace, your eyes keep open all through, and then later you can close your eyes.
